On January 5, 2026, SecureClose has launched an update to the Signing Creation process in SecureClose V3 that we hope will make your day-to-day life creating signings in SecureClose V3 even easier! We have changed the order in which signings are created to allow the system to automatically detect the names, email addresses, and phone numbers (if available) of each signer listed in your documents, so you no longer have to type them in! Note – this is intended as a timesaver, but please double-check all names for accurate detection and spelling before moving forward. In addition, the system will now seek to also identify the VINs listed for each vehicle in your document, so that you can tell it which is the sale VIN and which is the trade, if applicable.
Now, when you upload documents, you will see a notification that the new data analysis process is running.

Once it completes, step two will now be confirming the name and order of each signer, along with instructing the system whether the VIN(s) detected are for the Sale or Trade Vehicle.

In the dropdown next to each detected VIN, please identify which is the Sale, and which is the Trade, if applicable

Above each detected name, please adjust the “Please Select Position” dropdown to make sure that the name you want as Signer 1 (Buyer) and the name you want as Signer 2 (Cobuyer) are properly listed in the right order. If any additional names are detected, please click on the Red “X” at the top right of their section. Note – please ensure that you have adjusted the positions so that Signer 1 is properly identified as Position 1, before deleting any additional signers detected, if necessary.
In the documents I submitted, there was no email address listed on any of the documents, so I will need to fill those in if I want my users to sign remotely. Scroll to the bottom, and click to continue. The system will now quickly finish matching the documents based on the information you submitted.

In the document matching screen, you will now see that duplicated documents (in scenarios where the same template PDF is used for both the Sale Vehicle and the Trade Vehicle) are properly identified in the list. You can click on the ‘result.pdf’ next to each line item to see a preview of the document to confirm. The same goes for documents that are duplicated (where the same form is set up once for the Buyer to sign, and again for the Cobuyer to sign).

Once you confirm the documents have matched correctly, scroll to the bottom to confirm the signing creation!
